An easy hike through alpine region, which at the same time is part of one of the last wild water river areas within Europe: the
Lech valley trail offers original nature, authentic hosts and truly legendary stories.
On more than 120 km hikers accompany the Lech river from its origin close-by the Formarin lake in Vorarlberg right up to the Lech waterfall in Füssen/Allgäu. Thus, the trail connects 3 regions in 2 countries with its traditions and stories. Starting in Vorarlberg via the Tyrolean Lech valley up to the Bavarian Allgäu - over centuries all three of them have been coined by the Lech river.
Here at the
Holzgau you will find a particular part of the Lech valley trail: in Autumn 2011, the
most spectacular rope bridge throughout Austria (
200,5 metres of length) has been opened, on which a simple walk can be experiences in a truly exciting way! |
