Fishing

Relax and enjoy one of the last wild rivers in the Alps at its best. You will feel the freedom.

In the Lech valley, there are tow places to fish. Both are in Stanzach: The river Lech and the Namlosbach.

The Lech river:

Broad, very easy to walk. Ideal for fly-fishing!

The Namlos river:

Approximately 8-10 m wide, easy to walk at the beginning. Towards Namlos the canyon will become narrow.

Swimming in the Lech valley

There are two beautiful outdoor pools and a natural lake in the Lech valley. And also one new attractiv indoor swimming pool "Aqua Nova".

Local people and visitors like the popular Lech river. The kids love it to build stone castles or water dams.

Natural swimming lakes

Plansee:
The Plansee in conjunction with the Heiterwanger lake is the second largest lake in Tyrol. There is a kiosk and also some beaches ar free of charge.

Urisee:
The Urisee is near Reutte. This lake is suitable and popular. On the northern side there is a kiosk. The lake is free for public guests.

Frauensee:
Above Lechaschau is a nice, small lake called Frauensee. From Lechaschau you have to walk about 30 minutes to the lake.

Alatsee:
Refreshing, crystal clear water at Vils

Rafting

A rafting trip on the Lech river is a very special experience. The Lech river offers the best conditions for this hobby. You are together with a guide in a boat which is floating (or you have to paddle) down the river. The equipment: Wet suit, helmet and life jacket.

This is also great fun for kids.

"Canyoning"

You will explore together with a experienced leader the gorges. Equipment: Wet suit and helmet. Roping down from waterfalls and jumping into water ponds is in the programme. A very special kind of adventure.
