Enjoy the beauty of nature
Winter fun in the Lechtal
As soon as the first snowflakes fall and Holzgau is covered in a blanket of white snow, Lechtal transforms into a little winter paradise. As soon as we’ve started the winter season at the Neue Post nature hotel, the starting signal for endless skiing fun and adventures in the snow is sounded too.
Whether it’s on the ski slopes or off piste – the variety of activities on offer makes your winter holiday in Lechtal unforgettable!
Experience pure winter fun! Enjoy a 2 kilometre long toboggan run in Holzgau that’s floodlit at night, revel in fairy tale scenery during a winter hike, set off on a discovery tour on snow shoes or try out the cross-country skiing trails that are freshly prepared every day.
Be captivated by the variety-packed winter in Tyrol’s Lechtal!
Snow-covered Lechtal also invites you on wonderful winter hikes through a magical white winter wonderland. The whole valley glistens in the sunshine and time appears to stand still for a moment.
The impressive winter hikes around the “last wild one”, the Lech, enjoy the very best conditions. Far away from hectic ski tourism, you have the chance to hike roughly 132 kilometres on 34 winter routes and enjoy the wonderful silence of winter here.
Fancy a change from skiing and snowboarding? Then what are you waiting for, get on that toboggan! It’s really great fun enjoying winter on 2 runners and whizzing through snowy forests.
There are 6 toboggan runs in the nature park region that you can use during the day and some even at night. The majority of the runs are suitable for the whole family, which means fantastic tobogganing fun for all ages!
Experience white nature on snowy routes through the forests and vast panoramic slopes. You pass idyllic little villages surrounded by striking mountain scenery – that’s precisely what distinguishes the cross-country skiing paradise in Tyrol’s Lechtal nature park region.
As soon as fresh snow has fallen in Lechtal, the hard-working trail drivers get busy preparing the dense network of cross-country skiing trails.
The snowy forests along the Lech floodplains, white fields and sunny plateaus get cross-country skiers’ pulses racing. Glide through winter scenery and experience the magic on 190 kilometres of cross-country skiing trails. The main track, the Lechtal trail, links all the region’s thirteen municipalities, so there’s nothing standing in the way of a sightseeing tour on cross-country skis!
